Crafted design solutions and advocating player-centric UI/UX between all aspects of Blankos Block Party.

As a pivotal member of the design team at Mythical Games, I played a central role in crafting design solutions and advocating for a player-centric UI/UX approach throughout the development of Blankos Block Party. This unique and vibrant game demanded a creative and player-focused mindset, and I embraced the challenge wholeheartedly.

A slew of UI/UX improvements that I designed and helped release for Blankos Block Party.

One of my primary responsibilities was enhancing usability and accessibility, a task I approached with meticulous care. I led the redesign of the quick access platform menu, ensuring that players could effortlessly navigate and access essential game features. By implementing accessibility enhancements, we made sure that the game was inclusive and enjoyable for all players, regardless of their abilities.

Furthermore, my efforts extended to enhancing overall discoverability through features such as the Mode Select screen. I optimized the UI, enabling players to effortlessly find and access their preferred features game modes, which in turn increased player engagement and satisfaction.

In addition, I contributed significantly to optimizing and improving the overall level up flow, a crucial progression feature for our players. Drawing upon my extensive experience in mobile gaming and a deep understanding of gacha game mechanics, I and my UI/UX team refined this critical aspect of gameplay. Our goal was to ensure that players could level up their characters and progress smoothly while experiencing the excitement and satisfaction inherent to gacha-style progression systems.

I also contributed to the game's social engagement by spearheading the development of new social features. These additions facilitated meaningful interactions between players and fostered a stronger sense of community within Blankos Block Party.

To inform these design decisions, I leveraged player data and conducted in-depth research to gain valuable insights into player behaviors and preferences. This data-driven approach played a pivotal role in shaping the game's user interface and overall user experience. Rapid prototyping became a key tool in our product development process. It allowed us to swiftly iterate on design ideas, refine interactions, and fine-tune features based on player feedback. This agile approach not only accelerated our development timeline but also ensured that we were consistently aligning our design choices with player needs and expectations.

My time working on Blankos Block Party at Mythical Games was an exhilarating journey in the world of game design, and I'm proud to have contributed to a game through increasing player satisfaction, accessibility, and engagement above all else.
